Aren’t you glad that we have a God that desires to know us? In fact, He wanted to know us so intimately that He took on flesh and blood to experience that same joys, pains, hardships, pressures, temptations, and struggles that we go through. And because Jesus spent time here on the Earth with us, He knows what it’s like to be human. He knows what it’s like to be you.

In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind f the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God. (Romans 8: 26-27)

Jesus knows what you’re going through. You don’t need an eloquent, well-prepared speech for a prayer. You don’t need to worry if your prayer doesn’t make sense or gets off topic. Jesus knows. He has been there. What God does want from you is your time spent in prayer.

A beautiful prayer is not one that’s as poetic as Shakespearean script. A beautiful prayer is one that is open and honest. Take five minutes right now and pray. Bring God your jumbled mess. He wants to know you. And He wants you to know Him.
