When Jesus said, “Go into all the world,” He wasn’t sending us alone. He promised to go with us.
Kira and I are here in Cambodia, thousands of miles from home, and every day I’m reminded that the Great Commission still matters. Jesus said, “Go and make disciples of all nations.” I told the students today that our whole purpose is to share the message of Jesus. That’s why we are here. That command to go doesn’t always mean move across the world. Sometimes it means crossing the street, starting a conversation, or showing kindness to someone right in front of you. Wherever we find ourselves, the mission is the same – to help people meet Jesus and become His disciples.
Matthew 28:19–20 continues, “Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations… teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
That last line, “I am with you always”, changes everything. The Great Commission isn’t a solo mission. Every time you share your faith, pray for someone, or take a step of courage, Jesus steps with you.
You don’t have to travel to another country to live on mission, but you do have to go. Go love. Go serve. Go tell someone that Jesus saves. Wherever you go this week… your school, your workplace, your neighborhood… take the gospel with you, because Jesus is going with you.
