Our Summit Youth Rally is just one week away from today (May 24, 2024), and there has been so much work and preparation put into it. I am so thankful we can host a weekend dedicated to teaching, training, encouraging, engaging, loving, and leading teenagers to a closer and deeper relationship with Jesus. We hope that the teens who attend will rise to the top and challenge themselves to live counterculturally in a world that demands so much of them. We know they will face temptations and schemes devised by Satan himself to attempt to get our kids off track. However, we also know we can equip our kids with the tools, knowledge, and understanding to face whatever is thrown at them and fight off that mean ole’ devil. It’s never a guarantee that kids will always do what they should (None of us do), but I know if we do our best to teach and encourage them to be faithful to the Lord, it makes it that much easier for them to defeat anything he might throw at them. That is why we dedicate this weekend and many more to the teens in our congregation and many others. There is excellent value in a rally of youth getting together for worship, praise, learning, and encouragement. If we want our kids to be more spiritual than worldly, we must teach them the value of spiritual opportunities, like our Summit Youth Rally at NHCOC.
But let me let you in on a little secret…
Summit is not just for teens. ANY and ALL of our members at NHCOC are HIGHLY encouraged to attend the whole weekend. Come to the Friday night session. Engage in the Saturday activities and conclude the weekend with us on Sunday morning. You will be blessed if you do. Summit is not just for teens; ANYONE can and SHOULD attend. If you like to worship God and want to be encouraged, then Summit is for you. See for yourself the great value of a youth rally like Summit.
Below is the schedule. Come to any and all of it that you can. Even if you can only come to some of it, you are welcome to walk through our doors and engage in worship and other activities. There is no doubt in my mind that you will be blessed. Why, you ask. Because there is value in Christians being together to learn about the I AM and their own identity concerning who He is. When we reflect on the great I AM, we learn about who we are, what we are, and why we are.
