James 4:8 says.
“Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double minded.”
The first part of that verse is so simple, and comforting to know. It encourages us to try harder to be closer to God because then we know that He will be closer to us. “easy peasy, right?

The second part of that verse steps hard on our toes. Am I the only one that feels that way? OUCH!!!Wash my hands???     I do that, regularly!!!
Me a sinner???    Surely not!!!
Clean out my heart???    I don’t have a heart condition!!!
Me say one thing and do another???   I’m the most consistent person I know!!!

REALITY CHECK!!!

I need to better. You need to do better! We need to do better here at NHCOC.

Do you know how to tell if a church is healthy or not? Evaluate the membership and their participation in Bible classes.

You think we could do better? I do. We have an average of around 350-380. Lately we have been climbing up around 400 on Sunday morning in worship… Maybe, maybe,  half come to bible classes.

REALITY CHECK!!!

We need to do better here at NHCOC.

Now is a great time to get back into Bible Classes here at NHCOC. See below what we are offering starting TOMORROW night (June 5) and this SUNDAY (June 9)

I’m telling you this because Bible classes are good for you and we need a reality check. Plus, I love you.  A good way to do what James says is to participate in Bible classes. Bible classes are good for you!
