Those of us who attended our Gospel Meeting weekend at North Heights walked away blessed. Those who were out of town or who, for whatever reason, did not attend, missed out on being blessed. What a tragedy that is! We heard some wonderful sermons and Bible classes centered around drawing closer to Christ. Barry Grider, our speaker this year, brought his A-game along with his Bible, and reinvigorated all who were present.

Our thanks to everyone who attended, either Friday night, Saturday night, or our Friends and Family Day on Sunday morning. We had 435 in attendance, with several visitors among the crowd. After worship, a great meal was enjoyed, and a little while after that, Ashley Baker was baptized into Christ. We give thanks to the Lord for a great Lord’s Day and a great weekend over all.

Attention now turns to next year. Mark your calendars now for a weekend Gospel meeting that will begin, God willing, on Friday, September 25. Yes, that’s 362 days away: Mark your calendars now! Our speaker for the weekend, culminating on Family Day 2026, will be Chris McCurley, a man no stranger to many at North Heights. You may know him from his many encouraging messages that he publishes online, or through his many sit-down Bible chats with people, or you may know him as a former Youth Minister here. It’ll be a true “Homecoming” weekend and we look forward to having our beloved brother Chris back home with us.

See you then!
