A form of reasoning involving the statement of propositions, leading to a logical conclusion
EXAMPLE:
If ice cream is a tasty dessert to eat
and if I want a tasty dessert to eat
then, therefore, ice cream is something I want
In other words, “if this is true, then that is true.”
Now consider it Biblically by looking at five verses…
In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins
(Colossians 1:14)
and…
And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood
(Revelation 1:5)
and…
And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord
(Acts 22:16)
and…
For this is My blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
(Matthew 26:28)
and…
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
(Acts 2:38)
IF it is through contacting Jesus’ blood that we find salvation, and it is (Colossians 1:14),
AND IF our sins are washed away in His blood, and they are (Revelation 1:5),
AND IF Baptism is the moment when that washing occurs, and it is (Acts 22:16),
THEN THEREFORE baptism is the moment at which we are saved (Matthew 26:28, Acts 2:38)
What else is there to say?
