Walter and I had the pleasure of being on the radio this morning promoting the BBQ Benefit for the Bagwells that we are hosting here at NHCOC this Sunday evening at 5pm.  Walter told everyone that we help families at North Heights because “that’s what Jesus would do.” He’s got that right!!!

Jesus says this when asked about the greatest commandments:

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.

~ Matthew 22:37-40 ~

The Bagwells are our neighbors and we have amazing opportunity to help this sweet family with two young boys in our community. Brendan & Jessica Bagwell’s two sons have health complications. Their oldest, Ryan, has Spina Bifida and the youngest, Joseph, has a rare metabolic disorder. Mrs. Pat Martin has been able to reach out to them to make a difference in their lives. She came to Keith Davis and with the help of her Thrivent Action Team was able to organize a BBQ Benefit for the Bagwells. Sunday evening  we will have our normal fellowship and devotional but the meal is completely catered. There will be a donation basket available to help be of service to this family. Bring your cash or check!

We are also so excited to be able to invite the community and have guests with us this evening. Let’s show them what it means to be part of the NHCOC family. Let’s show them what it means to be in love with Jesus.
