Thank you for being a teacher here at NHCOC. This wonderful program would not work without good teachers like you!
There are a few things we do expect from our teachers:
- Arrive in the classroom early to be ready to receive children and begin your class on time. (Ideally 10 to 15 minutes before class)
- Faithfully prepare each week to teach these precious children.
- Keep your classroom clean and organized for the next teacher and students
- Keep the Teacher Work Room clean and organized.
- If age appropriate please remain in classroom until all children are picked up by parents.
The Classroom Coordinator (See Below) will arrange for you to pick up your tub of material for the quarter well in advance for you to make preparations for your first class before the quarter begins in which you are teacher (Usually, a few weeks before).
Look for your name on a sticky note on the tub for the class and quarter you are teaching. You will either be a Sunday morning or Wednesday night teacher and the tubs are marked accordingly.
The material is designed to allow you as the teacher to concentrate on preparing and presenting the lesson each week. The classroom coordinator is there to help you. Contact them for any questions you have. You will want to talk with your coordinator to plan the classroom but the coordinator is ultimately responsible in making sure that all material is ready to be used. This allows you as the teacher the time to study and know your bible lesson.
Quarters all always begin on the FIRST SUNDAY of the months of MARCH, JUNE, SEPTEMBER, & DECEMBER. The Wednesday classes will begin on the FIRST WEDNESDAY of those same months. Everything for the entire quarter needs to be up and ready to be used by the morning of the FIRST SUNDAY. Please let us know if there are any materials/supplies needed for the classroom or in the Teacher Work Room.
