Last week, our Wednesday Night Bible Study had an attendance of 172. That is the highest for a mid-week study here at North Heights since Wednesday, March 11, 2020. If that date doesn’t ring a bell, it’s the last service we had before we first shut down due to Covid. We did not resume mid-week studies until later that summer, and it has been a slow process returning things to normal. I’d argue things have been back to normal for a while now, but the only thing missing was the attendance getting back to how things were.

This past week the attendance was back to how things were.

Then, yesterday, we had over three hundred in attendance for worship, a number we have only occasionally hit since the pandemic began.

I say all that to say this: If you haven’t already…come back. Come back because we miss you. Come back because we love worshipping with you. Come back because have been praying for you to come back. Come back because God deserves to be worshipped and commands being worshipped. Finally, come back not just because of what it means for everyone else, but come back because it’s good for you to come back.

Come back to Sunday Bible classes. We have three adult classes going on right now, and each are excellent and offer something different. Come back to Sunday worship. All year long we’re studying the scriptures behind the hymns we sing to God. Come back to Sunday night services. LIFE Groups have resumed and people are growing closer together than ever before. Come back to mid-week Bible study. There’s no better way to re-energize a tired soul, heavy laden by the troubles of the world, than sitting with your brethren in Christ and being encouraged by a study of His word.

Our doors are open. Our hearts are too.

O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together.

Psalm 34:3

Come back.
