Matthew and I took two classes in April at Bear Valley Bible Institute working to finish our Masters Degrees in Bible. The two classes were Biomedical and Biblical Ethics and The Book of Romans. Both courses required preliminary work before the week in Denver and then two papers after the week in Denver. Yesterday, I worked all day from 7am to well past midnight completing the final touches on those two papers. Around noon, I sent the first paper on How Christians Should Fight Against Racism. Then last night I sent the second paper on an Exegetical Study of Romans 11:11-26.

Both classes and papers were very rewarding and I learned so much. But the most rewarding part was knowing that I was DONE with those classes. It felt so good to hit send and receive a confirmation from each teacher that they received my paper. I’ve done all the work for those two classes. I have done all I can to get a good grade… now I wait. I’m done. Until I register for the next class in July. But I only have 5 more classes to go until I’m done, done.

It takes one step at a time. One assignment at a time. Each day brings new work and new things to accomplish to get done.

The Hebrew author encourages me with these words…

“Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
