Mark your calendars now and make plans to attend our 2024 Family Day. The event will held here at North Heights on September 29th, 2024. Invite your friends, family, neighbors, co-workers, secret crushes, worst enemies, that one weird friend who wears a vest all the time because he thinks it makes him look like Han Solo.

Especially that guy.

Nine months and some change is all that separates us from what we hope to be our biggest Sunday yet. Have you set that weekend aside? Have you already started talking to people, telling them to mark their calendars? I know what you’re thinking: “It’s only January; it’s freezing cold weather; it’s college basketball season; it’s Royal Rumble season; September is an eternity away!”

I get that. I do. Nevertheless, statistics show that 71% of all summer/fall plans are made in the beginning of the year. Don’t ask me to cite my sources; I’m not on trial here! The point is, in January, we’re thinking about new beginnings, fresh starts, resolutions to make for a better year, etc. This is also the time of year when people start thinking about how much they need to start squirreling away to save for a family vacation, or a weekend getaway, or a cruise. Not many people are going to Disneyland in February. If you want to go, you’re planning on going several months from now.

I’m just saying: As long as you’re marking up the back half of your calendar, set aside the last weekend of September. Don’t book any vacations. Don’t plan any trips. Make it a priority now to be here then. You will be blessed, and you will bless us with your presence, I guarantee it.
