When something good happens in your life, what do you do? Celebrate? Pat yourself on the back? Praise God? Maybe, all three, right?
I believe we need to work harder to praise God when good comes. Let the world know we know who did this. Let’s recognize who is in control of our lives and how much He blesses us. When good things happen, don’t tell people that it was good luck that it happened. Tell people it was a good God that happened. God blesses us, and for that, we praise him.
Shout joyfully to God, all the earth;
Sing the glory of His name;
Make His praise glorious.
Say to God, “How awesome are Your works!
Because of the greatness of Your power Your enemies will give feigned obedience to You.
“All the earth will worship You,
And will sing praises to You;
They will sing praises to Your name.”
Come and see the works of God,
Who is awesome in His deeds toward the sons of men.
~Psalm 66:1-5
Just a thought today and an encouragement to praise God in the big and small good things in your life.
