The NHYG planned to go on a float trip this Friday and then take a cave tour afterward. Welp…things change.
Plans can, at times, be derailed and change unexpectedly, and how we respond is so important to consider. As Christians, it’s vital to embrace these moments with grace and flexibility. Dr. Myers told me years ago before we went on a mission trip to Brazil. “BE FLEXIBLE”. His words will ring true today. Christian service requires us to pivot at times. Consider Proverbs 19:21:
Many plans are in a man’s heart,
But the counsel of the LORD will stand.
This reminds us that while we can make our own plans, God’s purpose ultimately guides our steps. We must adapt and trust in God’s will, which allows us to navigate life’s uncertainties with faith, knowing that His plans for us are always good. Embracing change with a positive attitude and reliance on God’s guidance not only exemplifies the Christian virtue of humility but also opens us to His greater plan.
While this is an easy pivot from going to float a river to instead a road trip to Jonesboro for some indoor playtime at HYJINX, there are more serious pivots we may need to make in our lives, like dealing with the flooding and real people’s homes and businesses being affected. Some of them are people we know.
Just remember, TRUST GOD, and everything will be fine!
For the Lord,
Alex
