For this reason I too, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which exists among you and your love for all the saints, do not cease giving thanks for you, while making mention of you in my prayers; that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him.

When Paul writes these words as found in Ephesians 1:15-17 we can assume he had great feelings of encouragement from the faith and love the Ephesians were allowing to be put on display for other people. The Ephesians were encouragers and Paul was encouraged, therefore Paul reciprocates by encouraging the Ephesians in return. Paul heard about what these brothers and sisters were doing and he did not stop thanking God in his prayers for them. He goes on to encourage them by saying that he had been praying for them to receive wisdom and knowledge from God the Father.

Encouragement goes a long way. If you can encourage someone else today then please do. Go ahead and take a moment to say the words to encourage people around you today. Give them the words they need. It might be just what they needed to hear at that moment.

I love you,

Alex
