The title says it all, but I’ll elaborate…

If, to you, Christianity is just about checking boxes, you’re doing it wrong. If, to you, Christianity is all about feeling superior over non-Christians, you’re thinking about it all wrong. If, to you, Christianity is all about feeling like you’re walking on eggshells around an angry God, who’s ready to crush you like an ant the moment you step out of line… if that’s your view of Christianity, it is the wrong view. That is not the Bible’s view of Christianity.

New Testament Christians faced hardships the likes of which none of us have ever seen, and they endured it with a smile and with a song. They did not endure it with crass responses, with furrowed brows, or with angry words. They endured hardship,  hatred, mockery, scoffing, beatings, and even the reality of their own imminent murder, and they did so with glad tidings and happy thoughts. They lived hard lives but you would never know it because they lived their lives with singing lips. New Testament Christians loved being Christians, and so must we all.

If I don’t love being a Christian, I’m not much of one.
