Today marks the beginning of December. There is no reason not to be decorating and getting yourself into the Christmas spirit. There is a lot of debate about when it is appropriate to begin celebrating Christmas. I know some that start at midnight on Halloween night. Then some will wait a few days before Thanksgiving to free the tree and string a few lights. Then there is the traditionalist that will wait until the day after Thanksgiving. But surely, by the time December 1st rolls around, there is not one reason that everyone should not be on the same page.

Today also marks the beginning of our NHCOC Kids Kindness challenge.

Each day is marked with actions and or words to say to help promote kindness in our families, church, and community. It’s going to be amazing to see how our kids respond and how we respond to their kindness. When a kid at NHCOC completes the day’s challenge and marks it off on the calendar, he or she should turn it into the church office by January 3rd (Give it to one of the ministers or Margaret). For those completed and turned in, there will be a small prize just to say thank you for being so kind.

But you know what???

Why does this only have to be for kids? Can’t we all do this? Well, sure we can. Let’s all work this month to be kind. Maybe the habit of being kind will spill over into January, February, June, and July!

Who’s up for the kindness challenge?

Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.

Ephesians 4:32

I love you,

Alexander
