I don’t know about you but when the weather is good it puts me in a good mood. And I want to share that with you. Have you heard the song that sings, “There is sunshine in my soul today”? There is something powerful about the words; not because every day is perfect, but because joy in Jesus isn’t based on circumstances. As Christians, we carry an inner light that the world can’t dim, a peace that isn’t shaken by bad days, and a hope that shines even when life feels dark. It’s easy to get caught up in negativity, whether through complaints, criticism, or just focusing on what’s wrong. But if Christ truly lives in us, our perspective should be different. Our words, attitudes, and actions should reflect the joy of salvation, not the gloom of the world.

So, what kind of atmosphere are we creating around us? Are we the ones who lift others up or the ones who bring them down? Imagine if every conversation you had today left someone feeling encouraged, valued, and reminded of God’s goodness. A simple kind word, a compliment, or even just a smile can make a difference. I was reminded when reading the sermon on the mount earlier today that Jesus calls us to be “the light of the world” (Matthew 5:14), and that light isn’t just seen, it’s felt through our words and actions. So today, let’s be intentional about speaking life, sharing joy, and spreading that “sunshine in our soul” to everyone we meet!

In Christ alone!
