Genesis 2:7-8 – Then the LORD God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being. The LORD God planted a garden toward the east, in Eden; and there He placed the man whom He had formed.
Our God is the most incredible designer; everywhere you look, creation is a megaphone for His power, creativity, and goodness! Take the time to notice what is around you. Look around and see the creation and enjoy the sun, snow and showers that all play their part. But most of all, notice the people around you. God’s best work in creation is humanity. We were formed uniquely in His likeness; we carry an authority to rule over creation that no other creature has. God formed us to create, lead and produce.
The first man was given an assignment and mission, and we carry that same mandate today. But, God didn’t leave us on our own, it says He breathed His Spirit into us! We carry His power with us! What a blessing. What an amazing thought. When you have time later this week, perhaps when you are enjoying the snow, pause and think about God’s creation and your part you play. Meditate on the fact that we are created in the image of God and that we have purpose in our lives. Live it with intention!
