“Mindset” is a single word. It denotes a person’s attitude or general disposition. A lazy football team might get criticized by their coach for having a poor mindset in practice. A person looking to lose weight might struggle to shed any pounds because he lacks the mindset to cut calories and/or exercise.
Mindset is a single word. “Mind set” are two words, and are used together to describe a person’s attitude or disposition (good or bad) with respect to achieving a goal. We might look at a championship team and talk about how they had their “minds set” on winning. We might look at a person who lost a lot of weight as someone who had his “mind set” on fitting into an old shirt he used to wear.
These are just hypotheticals…
The point is this: What is your mindset? Before you answer that, answer this: On what is your mind set?
For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
(Romans 8:6)
Paul says that a sinful mindset is a mind set on death. On the other hand, a spiritual mindset is a mind set on life.
So I ask again: What is your mindset… and on what is your mind set?
