Yesterday, Lauren and I enjoyed the start of our 20th year of marriage. Being that I’m 40 years old, that means she has been my “better half” for basically half my life. As I told her yesterday, she’s made it the “best half” of my life I could have asked for.
If you’re someone out there looking for a spouse, thinking about a spouse, and praying for the Lord to show you the person that would make the best spouse for you, let me offer an addendum to those prayers. Go ahead and ask the Lord to send you a spouse “as perfect for me as Lauren Nicole Thompson was perfect for Matthew Leon Martin.” God’ll know what you mean and, if He agrees, will send you the perfect spouse for you.
Because that’s what my Lauren is for me.

I can find her. I found her. And “far above rubies” doesn’t even begin to describe her.
