Every year, about this time, I write about the daffodils that are sprouting. Well, I’m not doing that this year. I’m sure that y’all have heard enough about daffodils. I’m not going to talk about how God made them to start growing when it’s still super cold outside. I’m not going to talk about the color that they bring to a grey/brown landscape. Even though they are starting to come up right now, I’m not going to talk about them again. Nope; not one word of that this year.

But guess what I noticed they other day. The tulips are coming up!

How cool is it that our God is not limited in what He can do during a cold, dead, wet season?! The tulips that we planted several years ago are coming back to life again. Right now, they are only small green shoots. But I can already envision the big, colorful petals that will be crowning these little guys in just a few weeks. How amazing that such a small thing can inspire such excitement and happiness.

God, the giver of life, is showing His great power to bring life into what seemed like a bleak landscape. We have much to look forward to. The days are getting longer. The temperatures, while still up and down, are getting milder. And above all, we have set before us the joy of our Master and His love for us.

Today, may you see what God is sprouting in your life.
