Sometimes, I think the best daily bread we can have is to simply have a  song stuck in our head that reminds us of God’s goodness and love. Here is a verse from the hymn “Pass It On.” Sing this verse while calling to mind what you see now on a daily basis as you drive around or look out your window.

What a wondrous time is spring
When all the trees are budding
The birds begin to sing
The flowers start their blooming
That’s how it is with God’s love
Once you’ve experienced it
You want to sing
It’s fresh like spring
You want to pass it on.

In particular, I think of those trees that I see on the side of the road that have the purple buds (Redbud Trees). How can such a rich color like that come out of a chunk of wood? When I see those, I hear God whispering, “I promised I would never leave you or forsake you. I’m still here. I’m still working.”

Today, as you see the landscape bursting with color and life, may you recognize that that life comes directly from the Father who offers new life to you as well.
