Kira and I are in the final days of preparing for our trip to Cambodia, where we’ll be working alongside Rich and Ronda Dolan at the Cambodian Bible Institute. We’re so excited about this opportunity and the work ahead.

We’ll leave on November 8th (the day before Rachel turns 18) and travel from Little Rock to Los Angeles, then take a long 14-hour flight to Taiwan, followed by a short 3-hour hop to Phnom Penh. We’ll arrive on November 10th, and I’ll begin teaching the very next day. I’m thrilled to be teaching through 1 & 2 Peter, something I’ve been studying and preparing for over the past several weeks.

On November 15th, Kira and I will lead our “To Have & To Hold” Marriage Workshop, focusing on God’s design for marriage, the sacredness of the relationship, and the importance of communication and handling conflict in a Christ-like way. We pray it will bless the couples who attend and strengthen their homes.

We’re deeply thankful to North Heights Church of Christ, several other congregations, and the many individuals who have financially partnered with us. Your support means more than we can say and makes this mission possible.

We also ask for your prayers for the work, safe travel, and our kids while we’re away. Leaving them for this long is hard. Rachel may be turning 18, but she’ll always be our baby girl. And while Walter is such a strong and capable young man, he’s still a teenage boy—and that means we’ll always have a bit of that parental worry. Thankfully, we have a wonderful family and church family here, which gives us peace. Still, please keep us in your prayers as we go and serve.

Blessings!

Alex
