Half the city of Batesville is without power. Several more homes in the surrounding towns are dealing with their own power outages, as well as flooding, downed trees, roof damage, and more. As of this writing (10am on Thursday), I don’t know the extent of the damage last night’s storm caused, but I pray it is limited just to property and possessions, not people. All the same, many of our neighbors are going to be needing food to eat, clothing to wear, tree limbs removed from their lawns, and more. This is a time for God’s people to open their eyes and see the opportunities around us to help. This is our chance to fulfill the Lord’s words…

And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

(Matthew 25:40)
