Why is prayer such a challenge at times? Why do we struggle to believe in the power of prayer? Why do we forget to take prayer as seriously as Jesus did? Have we forgotten that God will hear us and answer our prayers? I know of preachers and shepherds that are reluctant to ask their church members to get together for a special prayer meeting because they know that only a few would show up. But, prayer is present in the beginnings of the church as it was established in an upper room as the disciples were praying, and it needs to be ever-present in the church today. We need to pray on purpose.

We need a revival surrounding prayer. We need to pray on purpose. Do you want to see real change in our world? Nation? State? County? We need to pray on purpose. Don’t trust the power of a political party. Trust in the power of prayer! Pray on purpose.

2 Chronicles 7:13-15 – If I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or if I command the locust to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among My people, and My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to the prayer offered in this place.

Let pray on purpose and see what the Lord can and will do!
