It is the middle of June. How can you give your time to God?

Summer is the busy season for most people. People are usually either traveling or hosting travelers. We’ve got theme parks, water parks, national parks, and more! Our daily planners are filled with check-lists, reminders, and more groceries and cook-out food to shop for than we want to think about (or think about paying for). If you take your foot off the gas for just a second, you might blink and find yourself staring down the fourth of July without so much as a watermelon in the fridge.

Take a breath. Relax. Prioritize. There’s a lot to do, yes, but when you put first things first, the rest tends to fall into place. What should come first? The Lord, obviously. That’s easy to say but it’s not always easy to do. What does a properly-prioritized life look like?

It looks like a day that begins and ends with prayer, and has lots of prayer in between.
It looks like a heart willing to forgive, patient in adversity, and trusting in the Lord.
It looks like hands put to use doing the work of the Kingdom.
It looks like feet that go wherever an opportunity to spread the light of Christ is found.
It looks like a mind that has the courage and conviction to remove corrupting elements.

Basically, it looks like a life that makes others say “That person is different,” because that’s what we’re supposed to be: Different, called out, set-apart, made holy… Christian.
