Every year on the first Sunday of June we celebrate “Promotion Sunday” where kids move up from one grade to the next. Sometimes that might mean there are kids moving classrooms depending on their grade level or age. It is more that just a calendar date, it is a time to celebrate growth and God’s plan for maturity in the lives of our children and teens. This is a day that especially matters to the 6th graders who are moving into 7th grade because that means they are officially in the NHYG. Its a special rite of passage for them and something they have all been looking forward to.
I am so thankful our parents at NHCOC are hard working in developing and feeding the faith and growth of their children. It’s evident in the maturity of the kids. I am so excited to see the continued growth of our kids from babies to seniors in high school.
This transition is exciting and little nerve wracking at the same time for the kids and the parents but over all we know it is a great blessing.
This year we have SIX new kids that are moving from 6th grade into the NHYG and I know they are going to do so well. Kira and I feel so blessed to have already had the opportunity to build relationships with them and their parents and we look forward to their continued growth and maturity.
Please pray for our children and especially the new group coming into the North Heights Youth Group. Let’s continue to work hard in training up our children in the ways of the Lord.
In Jesus’ name,
