Tho radiant light dispels
for gloom of raining darkness,
Yet Jesus Christ expels
the light of glory’s brightness.
Ever shining, eternally bright,
gives light to light the way;
Never dimming, never night,
no clouds will dim my day.

It’s raining and if the weather holds it will continue to rain all the rest of the day. Maybe you’re sick of it. Maybe you’ve probably been praying for it. Whichever category you fall into, I hope you are thankful for the rain. And if you’re one of those who just wants the rain to go away, you can be thankful that the sun will shine its light again, soon enough.

He maketh His sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
(Matthew 5:45)

If you’re one of those people who lets a little gloomy weather sour their spirits, remember that the light of Christ can penetrate the other kind of rainclouds; the ones that hover over your heart. Maybe you need a little more Jesus.

Maybe we all do.
