The apostle Peter writes,

“As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. Whoever speaks, is to do so as one who is speaking the utterances of God; whoever serves is to do so as one who is serving by the strength which God supplies; so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belongs the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen” (1 Peter 4:10-11).

There is no doubt in my mind that we serve the Lord not by the strength that comes within us but as this verse clearly states by the strength which God supplies. What an honor to work, and serve the Lord and His church over the years in a variety of ways. A new chapter has now begun here at NHCOC and I am pleased to serve as the Youth and Family Involvement Minister by the strength which God supplies. What we can accomplish in our service to Him is by His strength and to His glory.

When the opportunity became available to potentially serve as the youth minister here at NHCOC there was much anxiety and excitement mixed into all of my emotions all at the same time. Nervousness, passion, love, respect, and determination were all mixed around. I’m so thankful for the vision the elders and I share in streamlining the work of involvement, outreach, and youth and family ministries. There is so much of what we as a church do to keep us all involved and the evangelistic outreach we do that centers around teenagers, kids, and families. It just made sense to combine this work into one effort together.

I am looking forward with great excitement to serve as the Youth and Family Involvement Minister at NHCOC. It’s an incredible opportunity to engage with teens, kids, and families like never before. Our goals are simple; we want to nurture spiritual growth and foster a sense of community with families connecting all ages together from babies to grandparents. I’m excited to see our excitement, passion, ideas, and dedication to this work make a positive impact on the lives of our youth and families. Together we will go forward with faith, service, and dedication to Jesus and His church. Let’s hit the ground running!

For the Lord,
