Last night I had a bit of a frog in my throat as I taught Revelation. Things went downhill from there and, by midnight, I was feeling horrendous. Today the whole family got COVID-19 tests and, thankfully, all were negative. Still, the coronavirus isn’t the only disease in the world. Once a year I  get a terrible sinus infection, lose my voice, and feel horrible for about four or five days.

So I’m taking the day off, eating soup, and watching reruns of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Here’s a Bible verse to justify this post:

A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.

Proverbs 17:22

Right now my bones are dry and achy, but slowly are my spirits lifting with texts and words of encouragement from people saying they’re praying for me. It makes the heart merry, and goes great with chicken noodle soup.

Thank you all.
