Things change here on Earth. Technology changes. Finances change. Society changes. Today, our country’s leadership has changed. Things are always changing.
However, there are some things that do not change.
Our King has not changed. Our Savior has not changed. His promises are as firm as ever.
Christ told the parable about the wise man who built his house upon the solid foundation (Matthew 7:24–27). The one who built his house on a foundation that was constantly shifting was soon the owner of a broken pile of rubble. If we build our lives, our security, our future on the things of this earth that are constantly changing then we too will be the owners of a broken life. Only God provides a firm and lasting foundation. A life built on Him will never, ever fail. That doesn’t mean that we can have some of our life built on Him and some on the world. A house built half on rock and half on sand will still break. Make every effort not to place your hopes and dreams anything that changes – and that includes presidents past, present, or future.
Our King remains the same. The gospel remains the same. What is expected of us remains the same.
