One of the many areas of my ministry that I enjoy is the service I can provide to meet with people to give biblical advice or counseling. Helping suffering people has been a ministry of the church since the inception in the 1st century, and I try to contribute to that ministry today. We can read all through the Scriptures how the power of God’s Word has helped the suffering and provided hope for those who are hurting.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 says, “All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.” The revelation from God in His Word is the answer to all of man’s problems, hurts, and anxieties. Paul explains that all of the revelation from God is “breathed out” by Him. It is His personal instruction to His people so that they understand how to have a right relationship with Him and with other people.

2 Peter 1:3 says, “seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.” Peter is telling us that God, in His divine power, has granted us all necessary things in the knowledge found in the Word.

While there are times that the counseling needs of some need to be administered by a professional counselor, there is so much that can still be given by God’s word. I don’t offer psychiatric help. That’s not in my wheelhouse. But I can offer priceless Biblical counsel and advice. If anything, you need to know that I am here to listen and help and remind you what the Bible says about your situation.

I love you,

Alex
