Kira and I are packing up this morning and heading to Huntsville, AL this weekend to work with the Central Church of Christ for their annual marriage retreat, and we couldn’t be more excited! We’ll be leading our To Have & To Hold Marriage Workshop, where we’ll hopefully provide authentic, practical, and biblical ways to help marriages be successful.
The weekend is packed with sessions on everything from handling conflict (because let’s be honest, every relationship deals with confrontation from time to time) to blending families, communicating better, and syncing up as a couple. The weekend will include breakout sessions with groups working through practical ways to make application in their lives. We pray it’s going to be a impactful time of learning, sharing, and strengthening and I’m sure, lots of laughter along the way!
Our biggest hope is that God is glorified in everything we do and that the couples who attend walk away feeling encouraged, equipped, and ready to grow in their marriages. We truly believe strong marriages make for strong families, and strong families build strong churches. That is why this ministry work is close to our hearts.
We’ll miss NHCOC and our NHYG this Sunday while we’re away, but Lord willing we’ll be back Sunday evening probably around 6PM (just in time to watch the Chiefs beat the Eagles). Keep us in your prayers for safe travels and for an impactful weekend. We are looking forward to seeing how God using us to his glory!
