A lot of folks have asked how I’m holding up and if I’m exhausted yet. The honest answer? I’m doing just fine. Sure, VBS can be tiring and this time of year gets busy, but I genuinely love it. I love seeing our church family working together. I love watching our kids have fun. I love seeing people learn and grow. In fact, VBS actually recharges my spiritual battery. It’s exactly what I need. VBS is FULL of blessings.
In just a few days, I’ll be taking the NHYG to Christ Quest in Mountain Home and I’m excited about that. It’s going to be a great weekend. This year’s theme is all about being an image bearer, and I’m confident it will challenge us and help us grow spiritually. When we get back, I plan to take a couple of days to rest, then it’s right back into preparing for our fall schedule and getting ready for the back-to-school routine. But for now, VBS is still front and center.
We’ve got just two more nights of VBS. I hope you’re planning to join us. So far, we’ve explored how we’re wild about God’s plan, and how He is our CREATOR, FATHER, and PROVIDER. These next two nights we’ll focus on how He is our STRENGTH and SAVIOR.
There’s no doubt in my mind how impactful VBS is for our kids. Yes, we want them to have fun and remember how special VBS is at NHCOC. But more than anything, we want to plant seeds of faith. Seeds that will grow and mature as they grow up.
And let’s not forget. VBS is good for adults too. It gives us extra time in the Word, a front-row seat to see children learning and singing, and a reminder of the joy that comes from simply having fun in the Lord. VBS is for everyone. Young and old.
Don’t miss out on these last two nights. Make it a priority. VBS is FULL of blessings. Come see for yourself!
You’ll be glad you did.
