Yesterday I made a post on the Facebook that sounded something like this…

Stop what you are doing right now and think… maybe you should move to Batesville. The house across from me is going on the market soon. It’s an amazing place. About 4 acres. You should sell everything move your family to a place that I will show you. (Gen. 12:1) be my neighbor… come to church with us… I’ll be one of your preachers. I know you would fit in.

I love challenging people to actually move here. I love asking people to re-evaluate their lives and move here to make it better. But its not just moving here to a new town that is going to make it better. Its trusting in God that makes it better and anyone can do that no matter where they are; no matter where they live. However, I believe Batesville is the best place on earth to raise a family. I believe the North Heights church of Christ is the best church to work and serve our Lord. So yes, without any shame I ask be people to come be my neighbor.

Another thought… If you are my neighbor, that means we have to be neighborly. I love my neighbors. I love living across the street or across the way from people that I love and that love me and my family right back. We take care of each other. So come see for yourself. Won’t you be my neighbor?

Ok, one more thought. No matter where you live… be a good neighbor.
Remember what Jesus said? The second to the greatest command is to love your neighbor as yourself – Matthew 22:39

“Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” And He said to him, “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.”
