What hinders you from being an evangelistic person? Are you afraid? Do you feel ill-prepared? Are you nervous about what someone may ask? Maybe you don’t even no where to begin? All of these qualms about evangelism can go away with a little practice. But you may not even realize there are so many people all around you that need to hear the message of Christ. Finding someone to talk to about Jesus is not difficult. The time to do it is now and you don’t have to look that hard.

Remember the words of Jesus, “Do you not say, ‘There are yet four months, and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look on the fields, that they are white for harvest” (John 4:35).

We need to be more urgent in our evangelistic efforts and realize that there are souls all around each of us who need to hear the gospel. Some have a perverted view of what the gospel is and how to obey it. Talk to them. Some have no clue they are lost and are headed to a devil’s hell. Talk to them. Some are praying that someone would reach out and help them understand. Talk to them. Some are in complete rebellion against God and are have become hardened against His will. Talk to them, anyway. There are people all around that need us to share the gospel. Talk to them. You don’t have to look that hard to find these people.

In a few weeks we will begin our Life Groups and the one that will meet at Jim and Diane LaRue’s house will specifically be focused on training you for evangelism. What a blessing it is that we have the opportunity to focus on those who are lost and how we can talk to them about the gospel. One thing for certain, you don’t have to look that hard to find people to share the message of Jesus with.

Let’s get busy sharing the gospel and learning how to be effective evangelists!

For the Lord,
